Finding parts specifically for this engine is difficult, fortunately though, you can buy parts for the 4d56 (still in production today) that will bolt on. You just need to order it from Europe. Actually, the new head / rocker shaft is considered a upgrade.. it flows better and it has "roller" rockers.

Here is some work on the interior.
Power for Electric Seats , OHC , Pyrometer , Boost Gauge
Glow Plug Momentary Switch With LED Light & Water in Fuel sensor LED
Electric Fan bypass Switch
Fog light Switch
Also made a custom shifter to try to make it a little more different. I Also put in a New Pioneer Head unit with Bluetooth for hands free.

Sorry haven't been very good about progress, it's been crazy here. It's working out really good, I tried to take a short video driving, but it was kinda difficult by myself. That, and my phone started to run out of memory. I've been tinkering with fuel and timing, and there is a lot you can tweak on these things. EGT's look good, I haven't seen anything over 1050 ish, and that was crawling up the base of snoqualmie pass. Boosts good, sounds good, a ton of fun to drive. OH! and about 33-35 mpg city and 39-40 hwy. I've never filled up below 30 mpg!

you mentioned hooking the injection pump rotator sensor to a dakota digital tach converter. Do you know where i can that sensor that is screwed into your injector pump? i have the older 2.2 non turbo diesel ford ranger and where your sensor is screwed into on the injector pump mine is just a bolt, basically a plug. so what im hoping to do is find that sensor and put it on my injector pump and then buy the dakota digital tach convertor so then i will have an rpm gauge as well. any information you could find on that sensor would be greatly appreciated thanks....oh and btw awesome build, i wish i would have kept the 1985 2.3 diesel ranger i had, instead i have a few of the older 2.2 non turbo diesel rangers
