Well I'm bored so I'll post up some picture of my trucks build!
Well it started off as this! Attachment 162403 Attachment 162404 Attachment 162405 Then I replaced a couple of body panels and painted it PRIMER.. Attachment 162406 Attachment 162407 Attachment 162408 Attachment 162409 Next up was the body lift! Attachment 162410 Attachment 162411 Trimmed the fenders to fit 35s and to get rid of some of the rust on the bed and fenders and bedlined the bottom part! Attachment 162412 Attachment 162413 Then I swapped in an explorer welded 8.8 with 5.13s that I got from JohnnyU. And also put a new set of springs in with chevy drop shackes Attachment 162414 Attachment 162415 Attachment 162416 Then my friend put my truck into a pole backwards and did this Attachment 162417 Attachment 162418 He bought me a new bed that weekend and since my rear bumper was destroyed I decided it was time for a new bumper and since I had the steel a new front was made at the same time... Attachment 162419 Attachment 162420 Attachment 162421 Attachment 162422 I added in a light bar and spare tire carrier sometime in there... Attachment 162423 Attachment 162424 Next up the front fell off!!! Attachment 162425 Attachment 162426 And a 6 inch skyjacker lift fell on!! Attachment 162427 Attachment 162428 Attachment 162429 The time line on that might be a little bit off. I noticed that i had a destroyed bumper in a couple of those pictures b4 i made the new ones... |
I'm not too fond of primer, but props on the build.

Love your truck man, thats a hell of a lot of progress. i heart 1st and 2nd gen rangers.
|
Very nice build. Looks like a very functional truck you have there. Have you ever thought of adding D-Rings to your front bumper? Would be easier to pull you out if you get stuck.
|
Nice looking truck! but those bumpers would look a lot better if you grinded down the weld beads. imo
|
That truck is dead sexy.

Attachment 162205 looks cool. i like it, my next plan if i ever do paint again is hurculine the whole thing then shoot it with primer. |
Nice truck, looks like it has come a long way.

Thanks guys... I've done a couple more things to the truck since I last took those pictures in the winter... Not having a job really makes me randomly go out and do things to my truck! lol... I'll get some pictures up tomorrow...

ok not trying to be an ass but i hope you just painted flat paint over primer..
Primer is NOT a metal protectant like paint its porous, thus why its primer its porous so paint sticks to it and holds water and helps metal to rust.. there is paint that looks like primer tons of it and still protects the paint... |

Well I've been bored since I don't have a job so I've been spending sometime working on my truck.
I got new turn signal housings that are chrome but i had to fix one of them with a piece from one of mine so the bottom part of both of them is painted black. Attachment 161936 I also painted my frame Attachment 161937 And I painted my tailgate and one of the Ford letters fell off that aluminum plate that is on it so I took the rest of them off and I wire wheeled and clear coated it. Gave it a cool looking design. Attachment 161938 I also raised up my hitch about 2 inches since after the body lift and having made my bumper up high it was annoying that it hung down so low. I also added 2 lights to so I can actually see in reverse. Attachment 161939 |
Lookin Good! Your running a similar setup as me.
|
Beefy..
|
looks cool, i like it. what material did you use for the new bumper. i have the same lights for the rear also good old wallmart:crazy:
