I'll probably keep it with the tire sitting towards the cab most of the time.

I got everything all cleaned up today, capped the ends and painted it but its raining out right now so I'll put it all back on tomorrow and get some pictures of it done for now.

Well I had been thinking about the design for a while and I finally got some steel but it probably took me around 15-20 hours to get it all built/cleaned and painted.

The only thing I don't completely like about it is that I made the tire stick up a bit to high. If it starts to bug me I can always take it off and lower it down.

looks damn good, i love your truck haha. im stuck between the PR series and VT series tiregates now, VT may limit vision too much though...how did you hinge your gate? (thats the part im most suck on, how to make hinges)

Well my gate isn't a swing out like the normal tiregate ones. It is also mounted to my bumper but I am sure it could still be done my way with the same set up as a tiregate one. All my hinge is a 3/4 inch bolt going through some inch tubing.

Here is a close up of one hinge

Also I think both the PR and VT series are both going to limit your vision unless you did the VT series and offset it to one side.

I liked the idea of the prerunner series because it can be run both ways. Either inside the bed or out.

i need to get myself a welder, then i'll make a PR and VT so i can make up my damn mind! haha, those hinges seem simple enough, did you put any grease in the tube, or just throw it through?

Thanks Guys,

I know the shifter boot thing (aka old sweatshirt) really deadens the sound out, Since I don't have carpet anymore it really helps.

I haven't been roaming around here too much lately but I haven't really done a whole lot with this truck in a while. Life has been getting in the way but I finally got windows made for the inserts on my half doors. I think they came out pretty well.

Then just some random shots with the half doors on since I never got any good ones.

I'll try to get some pictures in the next day or 2. It's raining out right now and when it stops I'll probably forget.

Well hopefully i can get them mounted up this weekend. I have to get new lug nuts since the ones on my truck aren't made for aluminum wheels. I also might have to buy one new wheel since the lug holes on one wheel are kind of messed up from someone not having the lugnuts tight enough...
