Got the fab work done on the shock hoops yesterday, and have them tacked in place. Had to sleeve plate and gusset all the parts that were cut off the frame. Now I came reinforce my a arm pockets and get the a arms mocked up so I can check clearances.

If that's all good I will disassemble and finish weld everything. Then paint and final assembly.

Fun stuff

Sadly I cant until go to p[hase 2 of the supercharger. any more power increase and I risk leaning our the motor.

I did take the opportunity to change to my colder spark plugs to work better with the charger.

was a breeze going through the fender well.

got some more work done today, cycled both sides of the suspension and every thing fits and mounts up. now I just need to pull it all apart and finish weld the hoops, a arm mount holes and A arm brackets.

lots of welding to do.

Getting closer! Everything is welded, got the cvs rebuilt (minus a few boot clamps) a arm knuckles and hubs installed. Bolted in a coil-over to make sure it fit.

Thats a very good question! I like the Mcqueen glass a lot but I am concerned the first I do take the truck out I am going to crack the fenders on a tree lol.

so I am thinking of other options. I am leaning toward building a set of tube fenders jeep style. not sure what it will look like but with some major fender trimming and some fabrication work It could be something very unique.

would look somthing like this but with a larger cut out in the fender.

thoughts?

I think it's a really cool idea that would look nice if you plan it out well and do it right. It may take a few revisions to get it "dialed in" but I say go for it.

Edit: spelling

That's my thought, worst that happens is I scrap the idea and buy glass

And if you scrap it to buy glass, I don't imagine you'd have a whole lot invested into them outside of the fabrication time. Your costs should be relatively low.

Would be cool! Youll lose bump travel but its not toooo important up here. I would skip the mpd glass idea as they WILL certainly crack and they are too nice/pricey to be throw aways.

Ya the glass would be too nice to scrap. I think I can still get most if not all of my bump travel will just take some work with the cutoff whee to make the tires fit.

Got the missing link for my steering today. Had a buddy turn the spacer I was missing. This little guy makes 4 to adapt the 3/4in heim to the new steering clevis to eliminate the factory inner ball joint.

steering is in, system is bleed. cycled the suspension a bunch today setting up bump stops and limit straps, paint is drying on the mounts I welded in, next will be install everything

then its just brake lines, a full nut and bolt torque down and some fender work to go!

hoping to have the truck on its own weight this weekend.

got the alignment taken care of, and got a chance to put it in 4wd to make sure everything was happy. so far very pleased with the results.

drove up this stump like it wasn't there and still had lots to give. (need to find a bigger stump lol
