project spraypaint.. lol..

well the local hardware store had spray paint on sale, aco brand gloss, so its game on, i just have to wait until we have some nicer days, its going to be in the 90's for the next few days, way to hot to paint imo.

think 25 cans should do it, or should i buy more?
i just grabbed a case of 25, we will see.

Are you sparying your truck? OMG lol.

its not gunna last unless you clear coat it too, and it takes lots of coats.

90 degree weather should be fine to paint in

Deffently post some pics. Hope it turns out. I am just afraid of it not lasting.

I used outdoor pain on my derby car and it scuffed really really easy.

I painted an old Chevy cab with cans about 25 years ago.It turned out as good as a regular paint job.90 degree temps won't be the problem, but high humidity won't let the paint adhere as well.Just do it in a shady spot( I did it in an old garage) and use VERY light coats, letting it sit for an hour or two between coats.
As far as lasting,I noticed it didn't stone chip like the original paint.

and if it does fade, nothing a little wax wont fix right?

Since you're painting over it anyhow, you may want to sand down some of the rust, and maybe cover over it with something that blocks rust. Hopefully it will stop the rust from coming back and keep your paint from bubbling up in those areas.

you should get the rust areas very clean before painting, and the temperature will be fine if its 90. thats what i painted my grille and other pieces in.

i think this should be a fun project, nothin a lil spray paint cant fix

I painted my 1st car with cans... And it turned out pretty damn good.. Just have to take your time and tape everything off so its clean... wet sand the primer before you paint the new stuff... and try not to leave lines...

Here is my car when i painted it with gunmetal spray paint... I dont think it will take 25 cans though.. as my car took like 12

Rocky

My shaved antenna hole... All the car needed was wet sanded and cleared and im sure it would have looked great... But i was 18 and didnt care what it looked like... Just raced it..

sounds fun,

If I were you, how about instead of, friday night you buying a bottle of Smirnoff and buying low quality weed from your buddy, you save that money for some CHEAP cans of clear coat.

I didn't mean it in a mean way, I was just making a situation that he could save some money. I'm pretty sure I talk to him on AIM sometimes, and I was just joking....

Doesn't everyone buy drugs and alcohol friday night?
