Project : Un-Ghetto a truck.

Seriousely! I have been watching this thread and thie is getting a little out of control. What needs to happen here is you 2 (D and 03RangerInRoc) need to speak on a private level. What this thread started out as was an awesome thing. I havent seen anyone does this type of thing for another person ever. You guys really need to work this out. Friends are like butt cheaks. No matter how mush $h1t is between them they always stick together. But seriousely do not let this kill a friendship.

Progress :
It was a miserable day working the auction today in the sun and heat but by quitting time.. the rain was coming.
Last night, ShyBriGuy ( Brian ) and myself wet-sanded the whole trucks body. There was road grime and all sorts of dents everywhere. Early this morning, Pops went out and shot the clear coat on the passengers side and I hit it with the corn cob and buffer. There was this black ' dust ' like substance all over everything.. We banged out the dents and straightened it all out. Still have to do the drivers side. You can see the ' dust ' I speak of on the white grill surround..
Before ( drivers side ):
After : ( Pass. side )
Theres a HUGE difference, tough to really notice as the storm clouds rolled in and took a leak on everything.
The Lower valiance grill is for a 4x4 or ' Edge ' and the trucks frame is a bit different so.. I had a friend help in making a bracket to weld to the frame to hold it in..
I still have to fab up a harness loop for the harnesses and fix the drivers seat.
Once this truck is done, Project ' Mother ' starts. Those ' In the know ' need no details but the final parts came in today..
That should hold 750-1000HP. Some will wonder what I need a clutch like that for..

i'm baffled right now, lol.
i haven't been around too much lately... finally get on to check the boards.. see a project log started by D and say to myself, "This should be good.."
after reading 5 (cleaned up) pages, my mind is thinking 100 different things right now; 1. D you're awesome, 2. I looked myself but didn't have a LOC either, 3. Felt bad witnessing (or at least reading) the fallout of a friendship, 4. I really have to ****, 5. there was an update just 25 minutes ago, with resumed work? 6. Does this mean the water is beginning to pass under the bridge? 7. I should stay out of it and keep with number 1- D you're awesome.
there's a box of "random wiring" in my garage that i haven't checked yet... if you still need that LOC, ill take a look through it tomorrow (late afternoon) when i get home from work.

Lowlevel output converter.
( Basically ) If you have a ' high powered ' head unit, if you hook an amp to it.. it will harm the amp. What an LOC does is takes the head units ' wattage ' off the line so the amp can operate properly.

hello all. this is brian. i what most would call..... A GOOD FRIEND of d's. him and i have worked on many AMERICAN vehicles, lol, and are both marines thru and thru. but together, with our knowledge base, and the never say die, never say quit attitude.....we can accomplish just about everything. i no longer have a ranger anymore, as i had a son... and child seats dont work too well in the rear jump seats. but know this..... i REALLY miss my 05' levelII. lifted, 35 inch swampers on stock alcoa's...... gibson cat back duals..... k&n 77 series intake etc...... i now have a 06 f150 supercab.... like d says...... WITH A FEW MODS....... flowmaster american thunder dual exhaust, series 77 intake, edge performance programmer. it currently runs a best of 9.80 in the 1/8th. which is faster then mustang gt's, and just a tad bit slower then the c6 corvette i lost to in the finals the past 2 fridays at the drags. he runs 9.30s in his chappy chevy..... none the less... i want to let everyone here know that i have made quite a few parts for d's truck, and am willing to lend my motorhead mind, and physical strength..... i.e. ..... pulley mod....... to whomever comes to meets from here on out. please feel free to ask for my help in the future, but remember 1 thing. d and i are, and will always be brothers in arms..... so we will most likely be doing the work together. and since you probably wont see either of our faces at meets as we will probably be buried under the hood of someones truck.... my license plate is as follows: LIT3M UP. look for me at future events, and feel free to ask for my help anytime. btw..... i also do garage doors, right dave and d? lol. and im surgical with the plasma torch, MiG welder, and stick.... between dave, dan, and myself..... believe this...... WE CAN FAB/BUILD ANYTHING

ROPE BURNS!
Anyway.. Day#6.. Ran into some snags, overcame some boundaries.. All is well.. I learned a few things.
First thing I learned : I love drum brakes, Sams underdrive pullies.. I HATE Door locks and releases! Theres NO room to work in there!
Got-r-did anyways... Door handle works, lock works..
Now for wiring issues.. I dunno what HALF this trash is and all this electric tape is pissing me off.
I have no clue what these are. 3 of those jumpers aren't even hooked to anything.
Easily solvable. One 35watt soldering iron and some heat shrink, all is soon to be well..
Now for the snag and I think Chris/Gumby will get a laugh out of this. *I* ' errored ' . Wrong clear coat.
I'll start sanding again after I get something to eat. BLAH!
Panel and vent.. Panel is awesome..
Vent is now cleaned up too. NONE of the parts on it would move as they were all ghetto-painted with a rattlecan. It took me 2 hours and an exacto knife to sepperate the pieces so the thing could be taken apart. Cant use acetone on it as it would all melt.. so.. I had to scrape away with the exacto..
Vent will be worked on while I wait for the bumper to dry from fresh paint tonight.
The bumper and valiance.. I need to sand it all down to bare metal/plastic again and ' have at it ' once more.
I threw out the other clear-coat so it won't happen again Prevenative measure for the best. ROFLMAO!
