Tito's 96' Single Cab Budget Build
I have always wanted a 'shop truck' for lack of better terms. Something I could use to move furniture, wood stock, metals to and from places. Two years back I got a good deal from a co-worker on a 1996 Ford Ranger 2WD 3.0L V6 automatic. I finally got it legal for the road. And just recently I got newer rims and tires for a good deal. I am late to start a project thread but wanted a place to document the changes so far and those to come. This isn't a daily driver but something to wrench on throughout the week and commute with 2-3 times a week. I don't plan to do anything with the engine, not much of a motor head. I just need the truck to function properly while on the road. Most of my projects will be for cosmetic or small functionality reasons. I say 'Budget Build' because I don't plan on spending excessive amounts of money on this truck. I aim projects to help me exercise certain skills such as welding, painting, bodywork. So I wanted to start this thread with the stock photos of how I started off with the Ranger. It came with a toolbox which was sold within 2 hours of me owning it. I tore off the old bubbly fabric from the headliner within the first week but have not recovered the headliner yet. The driver side of the bench seat was torn so badly that I don't even have any pictures of the bench seat OEM fabric, so the pictures below already have the seat cover installed.
