When I first bought the truck in July 2009.

Over the last few weeks, been adding stuff to the Ranger.
1. New blacked out headlights and corners (nightmare shipping, had to bake em to fix the reflector piece)
2. New tail lights (had to cut part of the truck to make em fit, and run another wire from the 3rd brake light to make em work how I wanted) Top clear is obviously reverse, middle is brake/turn... normal... now the lower light is only running (when headlights are on) and solid brake.
3. Took off the factory step bars.
4. Mustang dome light upgrade (no pics of that, sorry)
5. Blinker Mod
6. Fog light mod (stay on with brights)
7. Air box mod (silencer removal) and K&N drop-in filter
8. Fixed my broken tailgate handle.
Here are a few pics for now. Waiting on a good day to take it out and get more pics.
Let me know what ya think.

Next mods will be:
3rd brake light with cargo lights (shipping to me now... from '06 F350 superduty I think)
Explorer OHC (Just ordered, should arrive end of next week)
Billet Grille (I'm thinking polished)
15-20% tint on windows (haven't decided how dark to go)
Some LED reverse lights, 9005's to replace fogs, and thinking of doing some Blue LED accent lighting in the cab.
Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments?

Yea, replacing it next week with the F350 one with cargo lights, I'm gonna see how it looks on there. When I get more money, I'll probly replace with a Smoked 3rd with cargo lights to match the tails.
Also, been thinkin' bout Painting over the EDGE stickers very very carefully with silver, but I'm afraid it will look bad. Orange just doesn't go with ANYTHING on the truck, probly gonna remove the ugly mud flaps too.

Someone at one point sold reflective EDGE stickers in several colors, silver being one of those. I'm sure some searching will turn up some results.

Ah, right on, I'll have to look around for that. Anything's gotta be better than orange. If weather looks better I gotta get out there and take them mud flaps off.

Haha, yea, mud flaps are coming off tomorrow too, forgot to do that today. And Colts license plate stays, lol. I'm close enough to San Diego, I have to represent and **** their fans off. Colts fan for life :) Might pick up some LED replacement bulbs for the cargo light and reverse lights tomorrow, just to brighten up a bit.

looks sick, really clean truck... i'm not normally a fan of the euro lights, but your tails look great! as for interior lights, check out my LED door lock indicators... might be something for ya... we are running 2 vehicles strong with this mod so far (my vehicles only constituting for one of them)

i would say you should see if your grill emblem constitutes for the ford logo painting mod also... black would look sick!

Thanks guys. I normally hate the euro look too, but the smoked ones look sweet imo. Just fyi, I got them off e-bay. They required a little bit of hacking into the truck with a rotary tool to make em fit. I will takes pics of what I had to do to make it work sometime if anybody needs help with an install of these.
As far as my logo goes, I know mine is NOT the hard plastic one, but the soft one. I think there is still a way to mod it, and yes, I thought black would look sweet for that.

i can't see a difference between them... on my truck, it seems like the chrome ring and the plastic is one piece... if you know how to change this... let me know...

i was also thinking i could go buy a new one and mod it, then swap it out

Ok, took me a minute to hunt these threads down, but it this thread is the how-to to change the emblem color for the gel emblems (soft).
https://www.ranger-forums.com/f59/ho...emblems-10026/

This one I found on another site for the hard plastic ones, they kind of explain how to tell the difference.
How To: Ford Oval Color Change - Ranger Power Sports Forum

I'm going to a junk yard tomorrow to see what they have in the way of Ranger parts for cheap, so maybe I'll snag a few up to try this mod too.
I really think black emblem on a brushed aluminum billet grille would look sweet. Not sure if I want a black billet grille, that might be a little too dark for me. Plan on going with some different wheels in the future, and they won't be black, so I don't want an all black theme right now.

Yea, I'm not sure, but from what I've been reading, it sounds like the 93-2000 are the hard plastic ones, and 01+ are the gel kind. I'm not really digging having to re-pour the gel part, so I might try to dig up some older ones at a junk yard. Sand paper and spray paint seem way easier. Plus I don't wanna mess up the stock ones, haha.

And... haha, I went to the junk yard so I could experiment with the oval color change mod.

Not quite finished yet, I need to find some of the gel gloss stuff to pour in to finish it off. One of the tabs is broken on the back, so I got it cheap just to try it out.
Didn't have a hair dryer, so I stuck it in the oven at 200 degrees, for 5 minutes... i'd say 7-8 minutes would have done better, but it still came off easy, just messed up the gel part with the blue on it. Will try to finish tomorrow, and start on the OHC too.
