dude all i have to say is nice progress! its really coming along and theres some really nice craftsmaship there. In one of the pics i saw u had a tube welded on the outside of the rame and split down the middle with welded on clamps, and a red bumpstop? or dampener? pertruding through it. correct me if im wrong.

I believe your talking about this picture? it looks to be a Sway Away 4" bump stop. it HELPS tremendously when your using all your travel. and your "FULL BUMP"

Yup, hydaulic bump stop (AKA air bump). The simplest way to explain what it does is to say it slows the suspension down gradually instead of hitting a 'solid' bumpstop.

Depends on your definition of pretty penny... compared to alot of the rest of the stuff they were relativly cheap.

cab cage...tie into bed cage.

and I'm hoping he'll build an engine cage and tie that into cab cage.

Basically, he's building a jungle gym

i would hope that the general concept he'll abide by is something along the lines of:

"I really... really like my head the way it is."
or at least this philosophy:
"the one time you think you don't need a wrench for the trip is the time you'll need it."

but then again... maybe it's the sikbrognarkill factor of a cage

Why did you even bother keeping the stock frame-rails behind the rear axle since you have what looks to be maybe a half-inch (height wise) of material besides the tube above the axle.

because if he ever wanted to race it there are some classes where you need to have the frame. Also, might as well keep it since it can only add strength. If he took it out he would have had to rebuilt it with tube, so this way it just keeps it more "stock" looking if you can call it that

Looking good, Jason! Saw your plans on DR, should be a very stout cage. Can't wait until we can get both of ours together for some "testing." :)
