I plan on the swap taking a week with 3 people working on it. Can I run it without the axle shafts right now as a dummy axle?

yea its not like a sealed bearing that needs the stub in it. you can run it with the one shaft in it ha.. if the hubs are unlocked nothing on the inside spins.

Good luck on a week, I think it took Ryan longer than that and he bought pretty much a complete kit.. It took us like 3 weeks but we could only work like 6 hours a day and i spent most of that time waiting on parts.

Just keep in mind nothing goes to plan

everything always seems to have a way of taking twice as long and costing 3 times as much.

oh yea, Lee has the wheels, I'll PM him your number and you his. He's heading down tomorrow i think.

Yea but I am going to plan it out as much as I can and mock it up as much as I can with the old suspension still on there. Also there will be a person on each side with a grinder.

If I'm free when you hack everything off I might be able to bring my Torch down.. no telling how much grinding I'll be doing since thats gotta be the worst part of it all and i REALLY don't want to do it again.

Yup took me 3 weeks and I had everything I needed when I started, with the exception of the ballistic brackets. Now its been drivable for about 3 weeks and I'm barely getting it where I actually feel somewhat comfortable driving it. Of course I've done everything alone, and only had 2-3 hours a day to work.

Still though, I don't know if taking a week off and planning on the truck being done in time to drive back to work would be in your best interest. You should find someone with a beater and see if you can borrow it or something.

I would have had Brenton's done in about 3 days if I didn't have to replace one of the inner c's.

How would I find out what length coilovers I would need? I just want to run 35's and dont want it much bigger than it is now.

Well how much travel do you want?

Is it a full width 44? If so go with 14's. If its a narrower 44 (waggy etc) I'd stick to 12's.

Re-read first post so it's full width.

I'd say run 14's, but if you don't want to mess with shock placement a whole lot and clearance during articulation etc just go with a 12.

Depending on your ride height you can mount them on the inner c to help clear the frame.

I cant think what a good extended length and compressed length would be what are some other people running or do they really only make one with a 14" coilover? Also do you think I will be good with regular radius arms or should I go with extended ones?

go to the manufacturers websites and they normally have compressed/extended measurements.. or polyperformance.com I know they have specs on the shocks they sell.

I would extend the radius arms.

So I should go with a 14" coilover and then try to get the highest compression/extension?

it all depends where you want to sit.. you have some room to play with when your building the shock hoops anyways.

I might be interested in a pair of 14" coilovers if Andy decides to pass on them.
