New trailer Project!!!

well was at my g.fs paps and he had this trailer frame in the weeds and ask what he was going to do with it and he said nothing if i wanted i could have it. so i went up and got it the next week.

[IMG][/IMG]

its a 6.5x12 going to flip the axle to a spring over and probably flip it so it a raise. that way i can have a full flat deck.

its mostly going to be used for hauling the atvs.

I wouldn't bother flipping the axle/spring mounts.
Build your own ramps to go on the sides instead.
An ATV can sit with a tire or two on a fender.
Great find though.

Check with a notary or DMV before you get to far into it to make sure you can get it titles and licensed. Tell the DMV it is "homemade".

This. My buddy has a trailer like this and it is awesome for hauling.
great find, i'd use some 2x6 or 2x10's for the bottom deck. they hold up to weight a lot better than plywood will.

In Missouri you can easily get a homemade trailer licensed. Just have to pass a regular trailer inspection

well got the axle flipped and tongue put on, ran into a snag when we went to change the tires on the rims. i knew the one rim was leaking around the valve stem so got new valve stem but it was 2 small. had to much other stuff to do and didnt want to run to get new ones at the moment but later that day i got 2 new ones that are the right size just need to get them in and tires on so i can flip the trailer back over

bout time you posted this up. haha. gonna be sweet when its all done. but now your confusing the hell out of me, because when we first talked about this i asked if you were flipping to to a spring over so that the trailer sat over the axle and you said you were flipping it to spring under. hahaha. either way. gonna be a sweet build.

Post some pics when you get tires on it. I've seen someone on here in the past do that and put matching rims on it that are on the Ranger. Looked sweet.

Find a used 7.5. There you go cheap and matches a ranger bolt pattern.

I'm sure you can find a cheap used 7.5.
