Project ranger SC

Ok so im fixing to jump into a new project soon and im lookin for advice. im new to fords i drive a chevy but really like rangers and had a deal i couldnt pass up. Im fixin to trade for a 96 super coupe tbird im sure you all know wat they are. its a 98% complete car had an electrical short thats why he is gettin rid of it. Im looking to swap out the motor and the 5 speed into a ranger that is blown up havent found which one i want yet though. my questions are how hard would this be? i know the motor and tranny swap wont be to bad some fab work and a little elbow grease. im wondering about wiring. should i try to find a v6 ranger blew up or a straight shift blew up? im not a electrician so im needing some help. i dont want to jus supercharge a 3.0 i want the whole motor swap and i def want the 5 speed. if you can give me any advice or help please let me know ill be pickin up the car soon to disassemble it and get it ready when i get a truck. thanks! cody

Easiest way would be to get the computer from t-bird and fix the electric short.

It probably going to be hard if not impossible to make a Ranger computer work with a T-Birds.

The ranger transmission likely wouldn't bolt to the tbird motor. You'd be looking at making a motor/trans swap, locating the transmission shifter (probably wouldn't line up in the cab), and making your own stand-alone engine harness (so all the rest of your stuff on the ranger still works). A daunting task? Probably. Impossible? Definitely not.

be careful, my mom had a SC that had an electrical short, she loved that car so we tryed to get it fixed, but the only way at the time wouldve been a new computer because they couldnt find the short.
