Finally was able to do another mod. Got the Toolbox installed, and the CB Antenna mounted, and coax run. (Thanks Trevor for picking up the box for me!)

Sorry these were blurry, i was retarded and forgot to take pictures while it was daylight out lol...

The antenna mount... All the parts ran me a total of $22. Not bad.

Yet again, shane did some awesome work finding me something on CL (i must just suck at using it, cause i check for DAYS and nothing comes up...)

I finally got the CB mounted. I got a Cobra 29 WX NW ST and it is an AWESOME radio. Gotta fix the coax lead to it, but other than that its in and working.

Picking up a PA speaker for it tuesday so I can yell stuff at people lol.

Thanks! Got the idea from shane and trevor. It looks nice and clean, and the only damage to the headliner is 2 holes, instead of cutaway stuff like ive seen some people do. It needs some minor fine-tuning but itll work for now.

naw, the best i can direct you is a hobby shop. Ham radio outlet on hwy 99 in Tigard has them, but IDK if you could get them there unless you have a ham license. I would try a hobby shop or online... lemme see if I can find a link

blingin'! I'm jealous of your nitewatch and weatherband options!!

As far as I know, Mine is about the only one with a huge *** hole. lol....remember, that hole was only there due to the OHC that was going to go there. lol. Trevor's is just two studs hanging down from his roof.

What I forgot about is suggesting to move it a little farther back on the cieling compared to mine. The nuts get in the way of the visors on mine because I have mine mounted so far foward. But it's still functional and I'll have to get my girl to mod my visor for clearence for me. haha.

Looks great! BTW....whenever I get money, There'll be a peak and tuned 70w 29ltd black chrome for sale....blue LED's! I'll be upgrading to the bluetooth/weather/backlighting 29.

HOLY ****!!!! 70W??? dude, thats more than my ham puts out on the 2M band (itll do 100W on some other bands tho) i'm not going to bother tuning mine, 4W will get out quite a ways on a good antenna, and there is no point in jacking the power if you cant talk with someone that has less power cause they are too far away lol.

oh, and BTW, the back of the radio is about 4" from the front of the headliner... and about 2mm off center, so the passenger visor is slightly blocked in... lol Its hardly noticeable, but I may mod the bracket so i can center it... new screw holes is NOT an option... those were a B1tch to drill, and find with the screws lol

My front(or is the the back?) of the radio is approx 1.5" or 2" from the end of the headliner.

yours looks cleaner because of that too... but, for doing a blind drill, from the drivers seat, it was pretty damn good. 2mm off center, but otherwise straight, and still looking fairly clean. no one will notice that 2mm tho... cause its only noticeable from 2 ft back directly center of the vehicle... where no one sits lol... I do need to get some longer screws in there eventually... IDK how many teeth i have through right now, but it could be on the edge... we'll see if it falls out saturday when i go trail driving... lol

HAHA....that's actually the only spot I've not reverted to nutserts! Mine stays fine. Of course, I'm running 6 screws and am now considering adding 2 more to prevent pivotege. lol.

I just dont know how much thread is actually in the hole... i have 1.5" screws, and that sucked up A LOT of space between the headliner and the cross member, just to get it to take. After it went in a bit, I backed it out some to releive stress on the headliner, and make it so I could actually press the radio up to the holes... it was a hard, tight fit.

...lol

Thanks for helpin with the hookup shane!

Shane, I cut the hole out in my headliner bigger than yours.

BTW, I already have the Cobra 29 w/ bluetooth.
