You need some 06+ fender badges. And why did you have 9 leafs?

The only way I would do 06+ badges is if they were black with blue letters. That will come eventually, but it's not high on the priority list.

As for the 9 leafs, I did that for a quick fix when I couldn't get the truck to level out. I'm glad they're gone.

Finally figured out a CB antenna mount that I'm happy with. It's an L-Bracket that bolts under the factory tie down.

Also, axle seals came in. CV axles should be here Wednesday.

I still need to call a buddy of mine to see if he's interested in welding on the third mounting bracket for me.

I'm pretty sure all that is left is:

-Bearing Assemblies
-Rotors
-Transmission
-Transfer case
-Rear Driveshaft
-Front Driveshaft rebuild kit
-Bracket welded on

In other news, Brown Santa came bearing gifts!

Gonna pick up bearing assemblies and rotors this weekend, and then start figuring out the third mounting bracket. One of my friends has a welder, but isn't confident enough to use it. I have another buddy that knows how to weld, but has no welder. So between those two I should be able to get the bracket welded on sometime next week.

Teaser:

Bracket isn't actually welded on yet, I just decided to play with some strong magnets. Hoping to weld the bracket on next weekend.

Parts are still trickling in. Rotors, bearings, and ball joints.

Still need:

Brake Pads
Bracket welded on
Diff Oil
Probably some other things I'm forgetting.

I have an entire week off January 11-17th. Hoping to have the axle installed by the 16th. Then I'll start trying to find a transmission and transfer case for the truck.

Haven't updated this in a bit, since there isn't much to update. I picked up the brake pads, diff oil, slide pin grease, and some other small crap.

I've been busy working on the house, so I haven't had a chance to get the bracket welded to the frame yet. Gonna take care of that on Monday or Tuesday and then I should be installing everything on Wednesday-Thursday.

Alright ladies and gentlemen. The time has come. It is January 13th, and it's going down. Axle seals have been replaced, lower control arms have new bushings and ball joints, truck is parked in front of the workshop, and the front axle has been installed.

Tomorrow the spindle lift will be removed, along with all the 4x2 brake parts and the lower control arms. I'm aiming to have the truck back on four wheels by tomorrow night, and then take it in for an Alignment on Thursday.

Old axle seals:

Those spindles still in good shape? What brand and how many miles on them? I know someone who may be interested in them.

They've been spoken for since the day I bought the 4x4 knuckles. lol.

But if that guy decides not to get them, I'll let you know. Gonna send him a PM tomorrow and make sure he's still interested.

Sounds good man. I'm probably a good ways out from buying spindles, but good deals are hard to pass up haha
