And I was starting to think I'd never see the day your truck was sitting on 35s

Sorry to hear you are losing interest in trucks, Shaun. I guess my question is: what are you going to do with all the 2003 Edge parts you removed and replaced with newer Sport parts? You should have almost enough laying around to build another Ranger! LOL All joking aside, I hope all goes well for you! :)

Sorry to see all this and then that you're having/wanting to leave trucks - i'm no truck junkie myself, but i have one to be the vehicle my car is not.

Um, you have spare parts lying around now?

Thanks guys!

All of my spare parts are gone. I completely cleaned out my shop a few months ago and I'm down to barely anything now. It's a really good feeling to not have any clutter in your life.

As for trucks, the fact of the matter is that I will probably always own one. I have no need for them, but since that's all I've driven, it's really all I know. I may end up with another Ranger, or maybe an OBS F150. What I do know for sure is I don't want to end up with another project like this one.

That's funny.

I still want to, but it's more of an empty threat at this point. lol.

The part about being done with trucks is hilarious. Guess that was only temporary.

Sometime around October or November I sold my 08+ bumper and picked up an Affordable Offroad winch bumper. Rather than be like 95% of the 16-21 year olds who keep buying this bumper just because it's cool and run it without any add-ons, I outfitted mine with an overkill winch (In case I need it for another vehicle/tractor), two led lights, some non-slip pads so I can stand on the bumper and work on the truck, as well as some wall mounts for livestock purposes. Overall I like it, and it's totally beef. My only complaint is that since it's a modular bumper, the side pieces are a bit flexy and tend to rattle against the body. I plan on making some brackets that tie the outer edges back to the main bumper to hopefully stiffen the ends up.

I have a body lift on my truck, and I thought it would be absolutely ridiculous to mount this bumper onto the flimsy body lift brackets provided by PA/Zone/Summit/Whoever. Unfortunately I've seen way to many of these bumpers bolted on that way and it makes me sick. Luckily, Affordable Offroad also offers a beefcake body lift bracket kit that makes this bumper super solid, even on lift brackets. All you have to do is let them know you would like the body lift bracket kit, and they will send you an invoice. It's an extra $80, which is well worth it considering what you get in return.

Wheels were turned and on uneven ground in the picture. The weight of the bumper and the winch actually fixed the camber since it put more pressure on the torsion bars. lol. Caster and Toe are within spec so the truck should be okay.

I'll put it back on the alignment rack once I replace the rack and pinion.

Yea, that's pretty accurate. Nobody with a torsion bar Ranger can blame me though, it's a crappy job to have to do multiple times.

I'm mostly pissed off that I even have to do it because I replaced it back in 2014 with one from Cardone, and the only reason I have to do it again is because the passenger side inner tie-rod has play, and for some reason the stud that goes into the rack is bigger than a stock inner tie-rod end so I have to change the whole rack to fix the tie-rod issue since I can't find tie-rods to fit the rack.

Ahhhh. I have play where the steering shaft hooks up. Annoying as hell. Did mine back in 2013

I never did like the feel of my replacement. It felt way too loose compared to the OEM one. Sucks that I had to replace that one in the first place, but it's not really worth much with a giant chunk missing from it. Haha.

You don't know what close to death feels like until you're riding shotgun in your truck with all of that steering play.
