Here's the electrical connector for the 4X4 selector switch and it's hard wired into the dash harness. Ain't that a b****?

I drove the doner truck to the shop tonight without any lights. That was one of the scariest thing I've ever done, and I sure as he** won't be doin it again.
I start workin on it tomorrow. I'm thinkin about sticking a 6X6 wrapped with foam through the door openings to lift the damaged cab off the frame. Does anyone have any thoughts about that?

The only problem is going to be balancing it front to back. You might have to use a couple straps up front. You could always take the doors and other good panels of then cut it up with a sawzall.

Yeah, I'm going to have ratchet straps all over that cab and front clip.

BTW ... I hope that guy on e-Bay buys your Ranger for $3200, just make sure he's not from Nigeria.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{ Picture Update }}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I've been working around the clock trying to get this project done and here's a few pictures show how far someone will go to wash their hands clean of a 3.0 OHV aka 3.slow. The weakest V6 ever put in a truck.

Make sure you save that drivers side hood hinge, somebody will want it if they do a 04+ front end swap...

Thanks guys ... It's been a lot of hard work, but it'll be worth it in the end.
The hardest part was removing the cab bolts. Those are probably the hardest bolts I've ever had to remove from anything.

I had to end up cutting the connectors that hold the E-brake cable together. Where can I buy some new ones at?

I'll be sure to remove that today.

Well, I'm 98% done with the swap.
It was one HELL of a job, but it's so nice having a Ranger that'll keep up with the rice burners now.
The hardest part was definitely removing the cab bolts, but I'll have to say the 2nd hardest part was bleeding the slave cylinder and I don't think it's still 100% because it's a little harder to shift the transmission sometimes. That's a cheap *** set up Ford has there. I'd really like to find a better slave cylinder reservoir. Is there an aftermarket reservoir?
I have lots of pictures to post but check this out.
Some old country boy stopped by and helped me take the damaged fuse box shell off and put the 3.0 shell back on. I don't thing I would have even attemped to do this on my own.

Hey John,

Thanks for your support through out this process. I have a plethora of 2004 Ranger XLT parts. Now I just need to find a cab for my rolling chassis.
I thought this was going to be a 2 day job, and it ended up being a 4 day job. I'm so tired right now, I can't hardly type.
I'm going to call a few more places for the wiring harness tomorrow and if I can't find one I'll definitely need you to make a custom harness for me. I can't even roll my windows down now and it sucks not having the remote keyless entry ...lol
If you can wire that in for me I won't need to change the door locks out.

Thanks man ... I can assure you it's not for the faint of heart though.
I see you have a 4.0 OHV, you could always switch over to the 4.0 SOHC.

Well, I actually didn't do a engine swap, I did a cab and front clip swap but only because my new truck is a 4X4 if both trucks were 2WD there's no way in he** I would have done it this way.
I know that going from a OHV 4.0 to a 4.0 SOHC is doable, If you're prepared to spend $1800 I'd say go for it and I highly reccomend buying a doner vehicle to do this because you need everything including the transmission. And the transfer case for a 4X4.

This is the plug for my PW/PD/PM that I need to wire into my 4X4 dash harness. Does anyone have any wiring schematics for this?

I have these but they are for the wrong year...2000 I could probably figure out the door plugs but the gem connections and fuse connections might be more of a challenge.
