Well I figured make a thread on the new addition to garage of many things.

1986 Bronco BII- Lived most of its life in Texas and now in MN the last couple years. Newer trans and motor, EB edition. $1500..I just couldn't pass it up.

Plans so far are to just clean it up good and do preventative things like bed-line the lower body lines and get some new tires on it. It needs a new waterpump gasket, so I'm just replacing the whole thing cause its cheap. The crappy ball bearing style rear driveshaft needs to be replaced and 4 new shocks. Then just drive it and maybe sell it for some good money.

Here she is:

Thinking of ditching the outlaws and using my 17" from my ranger and put some newer 29-30's back on them. Planning on new wheels and tires for the ranger.

Also I started masking off for the bedliner on the lower lines but idk, may look better going off the top one. what you guys think?

Nice man! That thing is real clean. I'd keep it around if I were you. I'd go off the upper lines. I think I've told you this before, but you have a kickass garage haha

vista4.0 10-20-2015 06:49 AM

I would go the the upper lines. Nice find though.

bravetitan24 10-20-2015 08:20 AM

Upper lines for sure.

BRENSRANGER 10-20-2015 02:46 PM

Very cool

RazorsEDGE 10-20-2015 04:10 PM

I wouldn't bedline it at all. It looks too good to ruin that way!

INT3RC3PTOR 10-20-2015 05:24 PM

Problem is the inner flat lip of the fenders are getting some surface rust and there are some paint bubbles where water got in some pin holes. So I was going to sand them all up and the best thing I could think of to cover it and save it from chips was bedlining it. Maybe could try and paint it? a two tone contrasting color of sorts.

Well I did it. Got the lower body lines all bed lined. It was a lot of work with prep and actually applying it, but I think it turned out pretty good. Didn't need the whole gallon, could have done about 20 trucks like this. They sell the quart size but its just to add for long beds so you don't get the sweet roller etc. Guess I just have extra for other projects or the F250 which could use it. Also got the newish 30" tires mounted to my old ranger wheels. have to do something with the little steps too, paint them or toss em not sure. and clean and paint the hitch and put it back on. Also with the bumpers off..I have a bad itch to build some. but I kinda like the clean stockers :)

Looks good dude. I would definitely build some bumpers for it. I'd also ditch the steps unless you're short haha. I think it'd look better without them

Little update: The B2 got a few things for Christmas. Has a 4" lift to go in soon, now that work isn't so crazy, and 5 newish tires as well. I have a 88 parts Bronco with a manual that I will be using for the trans swap. I actually got it running and drove it around and it was in perfect working order, even after sitting for a couple years not running. I also picked up a new Dana style driveshaft to lose the turd ball and socket style. And a couple other engine gaskets/parts to get it all fresh. Garage was a clusterfuck back when I took these pics. Also finally have the heater going..and its titties

few pics just to get a feel for what the lift will look like. I need to get one more wheel so I can have a matching spare too.

Also picked up the air/hydro jack for the press...cause F-that manual handle crap. I really want to pick up a SWAG Offroad brake kit for it so I can bend sheet with it too.

thanks guys! yeah I like how it turned out. wish the wheels had a little wider stance but it not bad wanted to keep it as practical as possible. Can't wait to throw the 5speed in and freshened up 2.9 and hit the streets this spring/summer

00GreenRanger 02-22-2016 10:32 PM

yeah man can't wait to get to the point where I'm doing interior stuff like good set of speakers. Which will be a must when driving it around!

also don't think I have any interior pics up yet. not in too bad of shape. really just needs a headliner and the sunroof cleaned up/seals fixed.

Thanks guys!

just got it running again. was giving me a no start no spark that was having me chase shit all over. Finally after testing and tracing everything it came down to only thing it could be was the ignition module on the dizzy. pulled the one off the parts truck and it fired right up.

Took it for a little trip to get some food and it drives nice. Still need to get an alignment bad, as it has tons of camber and a little toe. Other than that its at least a driver. Will be fun when I can get at putting the 5speed in it and the fresh motor. well one that isn't so leaky anyways hah!
