TrePaul86's SAS Build-up

your box isnt rebuilt or new is it? id recommend getting it replaced if so. they can easily get slop in them.
also what would greatly improve steering is a better high volume pump. check out my thread on that. PSC has a kit for our year 4.0L that would really improve your steering experience. ram assist will not work correctly with your pump. it will be far worse actually.

i would let you drive mine. put on a set of radials and its not much different than driving a F250. Bias ply tires kind of limit me around 60ish mph

The box is brand new... Straight from Marlin Crawler. That's why I don't get why there's play in the steering with all new joints and components... Unless it has to do with it not being completely aligned, just kinda eye balled.

It all depends on how it's done. Tre's will handle different from Beards, from Carl's, to Evan (if he ever gets his **** back together!), to Luc. Leafs will handle different from links and coils, and height has a lot to do with it too. but because no 2 SAS's are alike, it'll all be different.
Yeah, he lives in Hobbs, NM. Guess I might have to go down there and knock on his door someday. Or, maybe Koyn when he gets his done.

Yeah when Koyn gets his finished up and I actually get off my butt and replace the battery in mine you should come wheelin with us. I'd let you drive mine and I'm sure Koyn would let you drive his too. Mine still drives sub-par on the street though, Koyns will probably be much better than mine. With all the top tier stuff he's using its gonna be one of the nicest SAS'd rangers out there.

Welp, first test drive tonight! Not too shabby, but I'm gonna have to get used to the steering and cornering now.
One thing I noticed that's already pissing me off is the drivers side. The lean is a lot on that front lead which puts my shackle at almost touching my hangar at ride height. I dunno what i'll do about that yet. Im probably gonna have a custom spring made to match the rate of the tg's and length but with about an inch more lift than the tg's so I can keep the same shackle angle on both sides.
