I wish my truck was that lifted, makes tranny work soo much easier. I had my trac lifted on jackstands, and was laying on my back the entire time when I pulled my tranny

It was kinda fun. Made it so much smoother with Shane there that's for sure. He knows his **** people! The swap wasn't too bad. It's my first swap too. The wiring and computer BS is what's holding me up now.

What do you mean? Door locks and keys? They don't stock keys for the vehicles and the locks I probably could get I suppose. Or have Shane get.

We were laying on our back most of the time. Only got to sit up when the truck's tranny was out! haha nonetheless no jack stands or jacks were needed, other than lifting the manual tranny up.

Located the OSS(output shaft speed sensor) on the Auto trans. It's the rearwardest sensor on the 5R55E trans, right in front of the tailhousing on the driver side of the trans. Going to attempt to carry it over to the Manual trans tailhousing, and plug it into the Auto harness that's still on the truck. The issue is the plugs/pigtails are different for the auto OSS and the manual OSS. IF it is able to be mounted in the manual trans, he SHOULD have his speedo/odometer back. Trevor...you may have to grind some of the aluminum tailhousing to fit the Auto OSS sensor.....your auto OSS sensor goes horizontal. The manual OSS goes vertical. Just a thought that might need to be done.

Still trying to figure out the 3000 rpm rev limiter issue that autos have.

Trepaul! Get your butt over here with your Auto OSS sensor so we can see if it'll fit in my extra manual tailhousing!!

Well it's a no go on the VSS swap. Different in general. Not yet willing to drill out my tail housing for that lil sensor. So I'm going to try the Ford dealership here and see what they say.

Still thinking it's possible to flash my computer to a manual if another manual 4L SOHC truck of the same year is present.

Also found out, thanks to Shaner, that my tranny I put in had 78k miles on it in June of 08 when the Cruise recall was performed. So given the 12-15k mileage a year on a vehicle, it probably has roughly 85-90k miles on it. Still not bad for $145. lol

Here's the others...

This next video shows the 3k rev limiter from the computer thinking it has the auto tranny in it with the neutral safety switch in neutral.

Here's the other pics I have. These are for the extension that Shane's lil bro made me! Thanks man! Held in with stainless bolts, I believe it's 1-1/8in back and 2-3/4in up.

have you talked to Doug at all? He might be able to tune if for you.

Other than that I think the swap would have been much easier if you would have swapped the whole harness and PCM. Then have the dealer deal with the PATS BS.

TRE.....extention is 2 1/2 up, 1 1/8 back. I'm probably gonna make a 2 1/2 up, 3/4 back this week for mine and maybe make an extra.

To those that can't tell...the last vid where he hits the 3000 rpm limiter...i laugh when it happens. lol.

Ory...get this....

ok....so I let the kid in the Red truck drive my truck. Two days later his auto trans blew up. Manual swap occured and the hurst happened to his truck. Tre's driven my truck a few times before.....I find trepaul a score on a trans....manual swap and hurst!

I have an influence on these people. lol. Hate to say it Ory, but I told ya so. lol. GET A HURST!! Autozone discount!!!
