True. I was going to get them but they weigh a lot and don't come in a 15 inch rim unless i go 13.5 wide. tread life if not a problem and right now it seems like I can only get 36 tsl radials or 35x12.5x15 trxus mt. Ive heard good things about both of them except that tsls are like slicks in light rain.

Trevorgalvez's 97 ranger build

You could always get something like bfg km2s or maxxis bighorns. Those both come in a 35x12.5r15.

I was able to finish putting the y pipe on for the headers and put the exhaust on. Then put the spark plugs in and changed the oil and oil filter. Then put the belt on and started it up. It sounds pretty good. Deffinitely louder then before. I was also able to put the rest of the body lift in today with the JD polyurethane cab bushings. I will post pictures tomorrow. Im still waiting on tires and I'm ordering gears tn. still have to think of a color to paint it. White or metallic blue maybe.

I was able to finally put it on the road today. Drove it around and it makes a weird sound when i take off from a stop and the sound stays while its under 1500 rpms. The steering wheel also feels like it gets caught when I'm turning. I think it might have something to do with my steering pump. I am going to be making my own tube bumpers so i didnt move the bumpers.

Man, you've done a lot of work over the last few weeks. Since you have all that blue stuff on there.. a cool color for it would be blue... I would stick with an actual Ford Ranger color code, but that's just me.

Also.. when you did your body lift.. it came with a steering shaft extension right? If you didn't use one that might be your issue there.

I was thinking of something like a metallic blue but I don't really know yet. I still have to either fill the rust holes from under the fender with bond with a fiberglass sheet behind it or cut out the fenders. I did use the spacer for the steering shaft so i have to see if anything is binding up.

Got some packages in today. 5 35" trxus mt and 4.88s with powertrax lock rights for both axles. Rolled the tires in front of the stock just to see how they'd look.

Are you thinking about doing a front end swap to something newer looking since you are painting it anyway?

Put the tires on today. I decided I'm going to paint the truck flat black. Hopefully I can install the gears and lockers soon.

Got a couple more pics of it in light. Started peeling the plastidip off but since it doesn't really peel off, I spray goo off on it and wait a minute and it comes right off.

Got my clear turning signals in today and finally got all of the plastidip off. Fiberglass sheets should be commming today with bond to fill in some holes. I have Flat Black enamel paint with bedliner and Por 15 coming at the end of this week. Should make it look a little better. I also started playing around with the idea of a snorkel even though ill never really need to use it.

Is it just me or does it look like it needs an alignment?

Started working on filling some of the holes today. Sanded the paint off and cut out the rust hole. Still needs more sanding but looks better then having the holes.

Didn't get to do anything today but i did get a couple flex shots. not flexed out and still had the sway bars connect. I need to find sway bars to go with the lift. someone told me i can use the rear sway bars from an explorer.

Looks good. Did you make your own spare tire mount or buy it?

I was able to start on the gears yesterday. Pulled the rear diid and found out I had a posi trac rear. I called powertrax and they said that the lock right would not work in the posi trac carrier so i will have to return that. Then i found out the cross pin was broken when i took it out and only half of it came out. I was able to drill a hole with a small but long drill bit that i was able to slightly bend and used a easy out to get the rest out. Then i pulled my axle shafts out and found pitting on them so i ordered two new shafts. i looked into a c clip eliminator but i just don't have the time to do that now. I got the new pinion in and should have everything back together friday.
