lol no updates in such a long time.

The other day i pulled off my egr and cleaned it, put it all back together, and i must of cracked the "flexible" tubing because now i'm getting that nasty pinging underload like every other explorer gets.

on my quest for mpgs it hasn't really helped, i'll bounce from getting an average of 18-19 on the highway down to 13-15. all the time. not sure what it is yet.

in the last year or so, i've done motorcraft plugs wires oil and filter, every once and a while i replace my crappy air filter as well. i haven't done a fuel filter change in a while because no one carries motorcraft and i always forget to order it.

anytime i see my truck i daydream about a sas, new bumpers, new tires, selling it, supercharging it but don't want to invest that much money right now either since its a daily driver.

if i had a cheap car to drive i would probably do the sas or rebuild the motor already.

kind of waiting for my gf to purchase a new car so then i can drive the crappy lumina we have for the time being.

also with owning a house its not that smart to do :P just tiled my shower upstairs need to do finish up the rest of the bathroom yet.

my bathroom downstairs is pretty much ripped up and ready to be gutted and redone as well.

house > truck lol.

maybe if i can convince andy to use his bender and make me some bumpers i'd get something new on the truck done.

lately i really want to ditch the stock rear bumper, and stick my hitch back and up a tiny bit more for clearance and a better look.

damn i wish my garage was insulated and heated. lol.

Broke 100k on the truck now, which means the motor has about 225k on it. seems a little backwards eh?

one of my balljoints started squeaking yesterday, so soon i'll order some new moog parts :D and might as well replace my front shocks while its apart.

any suggestions for stock height shocks?

yeah I'd be willing to help you build some for sure. just get your design down and on paper and we could knock them out.

Been busy but not much has changed.

civics been good to me and my wallet, 40 mpg is quite nice :D

Battery on the truck was dead so i bought a charger (for the boat too)

I drove it to the post office today, noticed the front tire was a little low, grabbed my gauge and was heading to the next town over.

get about 3 blocks from my place and tire is flat.

big slash in the sidewall just from them wearing out. they have some cupping and weather checking.

Got to use my roadside finally....to tow me 3 blocks back to my house.

now the truck sits inside until I get new tires.

Got a lead on some brand new 32 km2's on rims for 750 i'm checking out tomorrow.

New meats :D

32x11.5x15 I don't see much difference between these and my 33's to be honest.

But I am going to enjoy having these km2's vs the km's I had.

I've been trying to think of some new ideas for the truck this summer for camping and what not. I really want to finish up a few details to make it nicer.

Well I figured i'd update this thread.

I Sold the pickup last month to get a new project but that deal fell through so i decided to be responsible and pay off some bills and put money into savings.

Kind of sad to see the ranger go, but lost interest after getting a DD and seeing it sit there neglected for months.

Been working on my car for getting awesome mileage with hypermilling. car is rated at 43 highway and 35 city.

My highest tank was 55.65 mpg and last few i've been averaging around 48 or so.

The best part is, only 11.9 gallon tank so when i fill up, it costs me less than 30 bucks ha.

Its far from badass but it works ha.

I'd much rather be driving a crew cab diesel around but theres no use for me to have one(or most people that drive em anyway)

Last night when I got home the motor felt really warm, but my temp gauge was normal. I'm gonna try to bleed out the coolant a bit and see if theres any air in there somehow. otherwise i'm confused why. ha.
