Are you planning on doing any heat shielding? That will be mighty hot next to those headers. Oh speaking of headers, did you find a new set?

You better make sure that roll cage is strong enough lol. I was just in another roll over in one yesterday, this time it wasn't my fault and it wasn't brand new off the show room floor in front of a bunch of people lol

Nice, ^ We had one of the salesmen do that at our shop, but it was a Kodiak 450. Completely trashed all of the plastics racks and bars lol. I love salesmen!

and no I did not find a header yet...havent been looking too hard

Ya I am going to put a tube about 1 inch over the engine. A tube peice will come down to support the upper engine mount. I will also put a sheet of aluminum over the tube so you have a non hot area to put your arm. My K and N filter should stick out right behind your elbow.

The panels surrounding the engine, use something similar to this stuff http://www.heatshieldproducts.com/heat_shield_mat.php

We used (don't know what brand) heat wrap like that on the panel b/t the drivers feet and header and it stayed cool to the touch after hours of operating. (panel was 1/4" away from the header)

I was looking for some stuff like that. I have used it on my king quad but only could find it in 4 inch sheets. Made my airbox temp go down 15 degrees.

Its hard to find a good brand though so if you remember the brand let me know. I have experimented with others on quads and some seem to soak up more heat

I'll look tomorrow and let ya know. It came in a long roll about 6" wide. We had about 4 layers on that one panel so we didn't burn our feet lol, don't think it needed that many but hey.

Why are you mounting it so far forward? Wouldn't it be better to shorten the length of that drive chain?
