01 reg cab 4.0 sohc 5speed
#26
I've seen one 06 reg cab 4x4 with a 4.0 at a car dealers website. Somewhere in the northeast US. It was just too expensive for me, otherwise I would've jumped on it. It was a dark grey color.

Holy crap. Didn't even notice that.
Seems like it is bent down evenly so I would rule out frame damage. Most likely just the brackets.
Either rear ended. Pull something too heavy. Or a seriously fat man stood on it.

a 4.0 regular cab manual edge is cool to us. its cool when you are looking at it because you know its "rare".
but at the end of the day, when you own it, you realize its a ten year old timing chain rattling regular cab ranger that has seen better days, gets god awful fuel mileage for it's size, looks beat up, has no cargo space, and needs a new clutch every 50k. plus it's not even 4x4 so it doesn't have trail rig potential. it would get old, quick.
heck, some dude joined the forum a few days after I did. just bought a yellow 01 4.0 edge regular cab ranger with low miles for wayyyy to much. within a month he sold it because it didn't have any room and wasn't what he needed.
A ranger is a ranger. and unless its all custom (302, SAS, Superlifted, or Bagged) I am no longer impressed. period. desensitized FTL

cool story?
You, my friend, remind me of john kerry. Flip-flopin like some ****. First its nothing special, then you changed your mind and decided you've never seen one, then back to nothing special. Did you ever think it might be cool to someone else?
btw, weither or not it is rare, wouldnt be the reason for me to buy. the fact its a 4.o sohc in a stripped down truck is what interest me.
