yeah, the interior is all wrong, something is not right, but ill tell you what, those MTRs look BA on those Alcoas, may look at some of those next time around!

looks like they've done some modding with the tailgate taillights too!

I hate this, I want a white LII more than anything!

 

I don't think the interior is too wrong. Look at the seats on the one in my thread. They're the same style just not blue in the center. I just want to know why they changed the taillights and tailgate. Accident? Or just personal interest?

 

Yeah shouldn't the interior be all black? The gauges don't have the silver rings either. Then of course, the rear lamps and tailgate are wrong but hey, as was said that could be preference. Only the jump seats look like LII parts. Everything else looks garden variety XLT out of a newer truck. The seats look like my 09's seats (note the newer style cupholders too). The 04ish XLT had didn't have a solid grey pattern in the middle. It had like black threads running through it as well.


I find it VERY hard to believe the truck doesn't have a salvage title. He claims it was a theft recovery and he had to replace the seats (which would explain why the rest of the black interior is missing) but if he bought it from the insurance company, it probably was written off. Therefore - Salvage title. Just because it wasn't in an accident doesn't mean it wasn't salvaged.

That seller buys reposed, salvaged, theft recovery, etc. vehicles, fixes them up and sells them. When we were looking for a truck for me he had a ranger (rebuilt title) going for a steal. After emailing him got the before pictures and it looked really bad but he did a good job replacing everything. So we passed.

 

I just noticed the Autocheck thing on his page. It even says it's a salvage title truck. He's a LIAR!

 

yep, also, look at the passenger side airbag cover, he kept the one out of the "original" black dash. Don't get me worng, beautiful trck, but its been wrecked

I suspect it's a rolled truck and the entire cab was swapped for a 04-06 sport cab. It's got vinyl floor like the edge/sports, got grey interior like them, got the black/grey seats, etc...blahblah. This is far more probable than a sport/edge that got rear ended and front ended transformed into a LII look alike....we all know how spendy and hard to find some of those parts are.

 

It looks like it has an aux. jack where the air bag switch would normally be. Didn't they start doing that in like 06 or something? If not then I need to find the parts to convert my 04 to that setup.

 

Yeah...has the 07+ aux input and aux radio, yet it has 04-05 tall backs and not 06+ shorter backs.

Forgot to add: it's got a 60/40 and not buckets.

I think it's totally a rollover fix where the bed was left untouched. Or a flood damage truck where the entire interior needed changed
