So I recently acquired a 2.5 1999 ranger and it has been through the family and it’s always ran a little rough with only right under 150k miles. It never really likes to idle but it’s definitely usually down on power aswell. It used to have a check engine light but after I had taken the computer out to give it a look it reset of course and then after replacing the battery ground connector it still hasn’t came on but it threw a not enough spark code for cylinder 1 and 2 which the coils have been replaced multiple times and it’s new spark plug wires aswell as all eight spark plugs replaced. Recently I went in to check if spark was going through the coils to wires and when I checked the 1st coil all 4 spots have no spark at all but when I check the other coil it is running correctly and I know the the secondary spark plug persay basically combust the exhaust gases to clean up air but aswell as help run better but it dosnt make sense for it to have zero spark. I’ve been pointing toward a new wiring harness but I don’t want to spend the money if I don’t have to do so but thanks for the read appreciate any help


update there is power going through that part of the harness so I’m lost on where to look
