Bed repair

Hey guys, new to this site and I am fixing a bed for a customer and the whole floor and supports should be replaced. She does not want to get a different box and I cant seem to find replacement floors or even bed support brace kits anywhere. I am planning to just use 1/8" sheet steel and just do a flat floor and then use rectangular tubing for supports underneath(of course they are 3 different sizes smh). Anyways, is there a better option that any of you know about or replacement floors anywhere or is this my best bet? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum

That's your best bet

Bed parts(pan and supports) were never sold separately
exterior sides are available

1993 to 2011 Rangers all used the same 6ft bed, regular or supercab, came in two versions, straight side(style side) or step side(flare side)
Only exception was the Long Bed Ranger, 7ft bed, only regular cab and style side, and different rear frame, so no, can't put a long bed on 6ft bed frame

I would think the labor of rebuilding the bad bed would far exceed the cost of replacement bed and repaint
Most Rangers in wrecking yards are there from front end damage, so beds are in good shape, if not rusted out, lol

If the bed rails/sides are damaged some wrecking yards may let you cut out the pan, or sell you the whole thing cheap so you can cut out the parts you need

Finished product

Entire tub was sandblasted and all seams were sealed up before Bedliner was applied and tub was primed with epoxy primer.

Out with old…

I bedlinered entire bottom and inside this box, it will never rust again! I also rustproofed inside all the beams very thoroughly with seal out.
