Good day.

Anybody who can assist with this. I have a 2015 2.2 Ranger. the rear seat release strap is broken. I cannot access the rear seat area where the jack and the wheel spanner is. I tried to ceck on you tube how i can resolve this, but nothing on the ranger 2.2. The only information available on this problem is for Ford F-150 only. I thought the solution would assist, but Alas, the mechanisms to create enough space to allow a hand to get in behind the seat is different. Please help me so i can deal with this before a need for a jack and wheel spanner arises.

Today i told a fried of the above problem and he said let go and look. Then hepeeped into the hole through which the strap came out on the rear seat. He said, I can see the broken strap. He said let us get a long nose pair of pliers. Then he pushed it through the hole and grabbed the broken strap and the rear seat was released.Then I managed to afix another makeshift strap by fitting the keyring holder and running the makeshift strap to it and threading the makeshift strap through the hole so that i can pull it from above the seat. The solution is working perfectly.

Ihope this will assist another person who might come across the same challenge.
