Cleaning Cloth Seats
Grab a drill brush, some decent upholstery cleaner, a random orbit palm sander, or RO polisher (if you have one) and a shop vac.
First, plug palm sander in, remove any sandpaper it might have on the backer. Grab the shop vac and turn it on. Place the sander against the seat, and turn it on. It will create a lot of vibration throughout the seat, which can help dislodge impacted/imbedded dirt and debris. Go over the seat a few times with the vac until you are satisfied, while still using the sander. If there is no sander available, you can just use the vac. The best method to cleaning is to remove as much dry dirt and debris as you can, before moving to wet cleaning methods
Spray the seat down with some water, and the upholstery cleaner. Use the drill brush to agitate and clean as much as you can. Then use the shop vac to suck all the water out that you can.
Leave doors open to air dry, try to do so in a warm but dry area. Air circulation is your friend here. I would leave the doors open a minimum of an hour or two, but I'd like to see them air out for at least 4-8, depending on how thorough you were with the final vac step.
