Cleaning Up The Site...

With the massive amount of growth we've had here at Ranger-Forums - we've been forced into a massive cleanup.

We've basically deleted around 200,000+ posts(7500 threads) and 500+ inactive(no posts/1+yr of login) members...

We're also cleaning up some old attachments that we had issues with a while back and redoing some other stuff...

We are trying to get the site speeds back up to fast and run efficiently, too...

So anyway, if you notice anything different that might be why.

p.s. - attachments haven't been working the last 3 days. they are working now, so no worries. however, there is a limit/per attachment(1mb) - so no super large images.

is there an archive for the deleted posts? I know I, as well as others, probably have some threads they are subscribed to that are still quite helpful.

Also, there any way to get the ability to check the recent forums posts (Active Topics menu option) back for when you just initially visit the site without being logged in? It was great having it so that one could check the forums from work without being logged in or just check the forums open to non-members quickly.

None of the deleted posts should have been from the technical forums. The only posts that we were concentrating on were the off topic areas. Christian can confirm though..

I thought it was there at one point in time! But then I thought I was just loosing my mind.

I loved to use that while at school, no real time to post but I could read without loosing my active topics.
