any reason for this problem? i've been a paying member since february.

I can only assume you mean the archives(members only) forum.

Its an archive, meaning "dead" posts. Only mods/admins can post on them

oh, i didn't realize only admin and mods could post there. thanks for the info.

yeah, its a way to keep threads around to view, but not totally remove them
