How much is this site costing you? You could do a supporting member drive, since it is a public board, and give supporting members stars by their username or something like that. And maybe different color stars by how much they donate.

$5 or less a year: Bronze Star
Less than 20 but more than 5: Silver Star
More than 20: Gold star

You get the idea

 

let's just say... i don't need any contributions...

thanks to a very gracious person, i have a 192mb/sec bandwidth limit, no monthly bandwidth limits, and this entire forum is about 11megabytes, with all of the posts, etc...

thanks for thinking about the costs, though...

stats on the forum, as of 10:34am, today:

Disk Usage: 11.65 megabytes
SQL Disk Usage: 2.92 megabytes
Bandwidth Use This Month: 1233.52 megabytes

i only caution doing it because of how it came in too affect at Gen-Edge. if you do, do it then i would recommend addressing how donations will be treated in regards to the problems that they can cause.

if i ever do donations for anything, i will make a paypal account for it and publicly disclose everything that goes through that account.

i don't want to ask for donations. i don't take hand outs well... i like to work.

 

yea, trust me, hes pissed cause i let him barrow twenty bucks, and he wrote me a damn check that i never cashed, he found out i never cashed it, he got all mad, cause "hes never barrowed money"
