Probably another thing is you people perpetuating perceived "drama". Nobody cares who doesnt like particular members or owners, it's an online forum. It's stupid and petty to take things personally and people LOVE dropping the D word.
So this thread has turned into "I left because I didn't like this person" and if that's your input, just shut up. Along with everyone asking "who, who, who is he talking about??"
Come on guys, this forum has a purpose, and that's helping people with rangers. Some people are friendly, and some aren't, get over it. The vast majority of people on here don't know each other and aren't friends or people you actually know in real life and have to interact with them, so who cares?
I think it's incredibly lame for you people who try and socialize with people you don't know who live across the country and be friends on facebook and all that, you're just asking for trouble. My obvious exception being the previous poster, whose house is within 20 minutes and who I've done work with and stuff. Beyond that, it's a stretch for to want to interact with anyone outside the confines of this web domain.
And that's when the site has gone to far. It doesn't need to be connected to facebook, or twitter, this is NOT a social networking site. Part of the appeal of a forum like this is the anonymity, I know that's more important for some people than others. Just my opinion I guess, I guess it's just the world we live in. But personally I don't need to or want to know anyones name on the site that I will ever see in person.

haha I mean I'm always nice to people on here. I just think that if I'm never going to actually be meeting anyone in real life, there's no need to interact with them on a personal level as if my impression of them or their impression of me is important outside of my ranger related activities. There's plenty of people on the forum I like and some not so much, but there's no need for them to know either way. I don't consider them friends or enemies, more of acquaintances from the internet.
It obviously becomes different with you and the other members who I have met at meets or otherwise, then it does become more like friends who have rangers and like UK sports. I've been to two members houses (well, not your new one yet), apart from that I haven't really made any personal connection with other members, and that's not exactly the purpose of the site. And I just think some people take that to seriously and act like high school girls to people they don't know.
I'm sure somebody here will want to say I'm being "dramatic". Well, if being perfectly straightforward and honest is being dramatic, then maybe you'd be right. I guess I just don't believe in sugarcoating things that aren't food.

well i am on alot of the different ranger forums... and most of them i think they drive away new members with the 3.0, 4.0 bashing bull crap....
i am a member of like 5 of the ranger forum sites... and some the bashing is just horrendous... too much.... of course some of the forums are so dead.. they welcome every one...no matter what engine they have.
but a big turn off is phone compatibility... this forum doesnt work well on my galaxy s3... and yeah i could use the app... but those are a pain too.
and another is the terms/agreements and getting banned for stuff.
I design and sale vinyl graphics..i posted it in the classifieds that i have some ranger stuff for sale, and i guess that got me banned from TRS... stupid...
I also do alot of custom fabrication projects.... try to make some extra money here and there... and guess thats a big no no on forums too..

I have noticed that this forum is dying down quite a bit. I know I post way less questions because I have learned all that I need about projects that I'm interested in doing at this point. Plus now that the ranger is basically where I want it I really dont get on here looking for new mods to much....
Oh well.
Oh well.

I have to disagree with you steel, what is the difference between me texting Pedro or Andy who are a day and a half drive from me and having a pen pal?
I text 3/4 members regularly and consider them friends. One even came across the border and helped me move. Every place has clix. Work, highschool, forums, they all have them.
As for members (not just pat) blaming Rick, I'm sure there is more to the story that we as regular members don't know. Tons of stuff goes on behind closed doors to keep things running smooth and whatnot. It's just how things go in the world.
This site is good and informative, however it does lack projects at times and the same "what tire size fits with the least lift?" Get tiresome. I know when I see a bunch of threads like that I tend to come less as I don't find it intelectually stimulating.
