My friend has a 98 with a 3.0 and a gibson single in dual out exhaust. It sounds ok. Has a nice rumble at idle (just a little deeper than stock). I don't know what it's like when you really get on it though. Not really that much different than my stock 4.0 though. And when it's reved it sounds decent. I like my flow a lot better though.

I had a chart not too long ago that showed the amount of flow each muffler gave..

Gibson was the most restrictive exhaust on the chart.

It was worse than stock.

Magnaflow is what I have, and I love it. It's loud enough for my taste, and it provides a little extra power when combined with my intake and tuner. I would recommend it to anyone.

I've got a Gibson, if you get the stainless it sounds pretty good. There is a noticable difference in stainless vs. carbon steel. Little more pricey though.

Exhaust is generally prefernec based. As you can tell from previous posts some people like what they have, and some denounce other brands. Magnaflow isn't junk, and generally speaking most people that even OWN Flowmaster admit they are only good for being loud...and aren't known for power gains.
