Interface -Non-Interface

Hello Ladies and Gents,
Not a tec or mech head at all, i guess you would call me a simpleton in the car world, after some advice or guidance to point me in the right direction.
My trusty noble steed/black stallion has done a timing belt it gave way on the way to pick the kids up everything else seems to be ok and turns.
I am curious as to how much damage it has done I've read a lot up on it and I'm getting mixed messages one website says interface others say not, my ranger is a FORD RANGER XL, XLT Auto PJ, PK 08/2011 4 Door Wellside 4WD DIESEL 3.0 litre,
Can any of you kind folk clear it up for me also reside in the land down under
Cheers

Welcome to the forum

We are in North America and our Rangers are smaller and no Diesels, petrol only

You have a T6 Ranger built in Asia or South Africa
Try Australian Ranger forums specifically

Most diesels use timing chains but there were some with belts
I see 2.0l and 3.2l Diesels listed for 2011 T6 Rangers, no 3.0l?

Yes, most diesels are interference engines because they need high compression, so its a bad thing if belt or chain breaks
