level up just by number of posts/threads/replies you have. If you become a contributor you can attach images and you dont have to host them on the internet.

uhh. i think after a certain amount of threads/posts you become stage II. i became stage II last week. it goes up to stage X from what i've seen. a contributor means you pay a yearly fee (i want to say $20) and you pay via PayPal. just dont post unless you need to. there is no "higher authority" when it comes to what stage member you are, unless you are an administrator and you have control over what is said.

you can post in the "how-to submissions" but not in the main how to section.

Level 1 is 0-100 posts level 2 is 101-500 level 3 is 501-idk i havent gotten that far.

Haha development, what development. Its just for the owner to make money even though hes never on the site anymore. I bet the servers cost a max of 500 bucks a year and Christian is pulling in double that.

I contributed for the larger avatar and the larger PM box to be honest. I'd do it again though, this site has given me a lot so I don't mind giving the owner some money for keeping it open. I just wish we would see him around the site some more.

Go to Quick Links on the top row, the first option under that pulldown arrow it where you start if you want to become a contributor. It guides you through the steps after that. I almost signed up but then realized I didn't have a PayPal account.
