I noticed before i had signed in with my user name, i was able to see and view posts in the "members only" section. Was this intentional? Just figured i'd bring it up.

There is not a "members only" section, it's just a label that hasn't been removed yet.

It's just for members of the human race. Dogs, for instance, can't see it, even though they can hear things we can't...

Actually I think it's fine. Members only as in people who have registered with the site, not just contributors. There are no contributors only forums...
