Site lag
 

Why does the site lag so much? Whatever I click onto seems to take way too long to get to the page. Sometimes it's just pathetic how long it takes. Every other site I go on is fine and moves quick except for this one. What's wrong? Reminds me of having a dialup connection.

Ya the site does lag, but it also crashes ever night. My contributer status is up here soon and If I dont see some changes made I dont know if I will Contribute again :wink:

Every night? what time? I have never seen that.

Last night it went down at about sometime after 11(not sure on the exact time I just got home) and I got back on at 11:17 central time

maybe the old DNS stuff but I have only seen RF be down only a few times. It was down Tuesday though.

It went down last night as well, for about 30 min

there have been several sites and servers go down across the web lately.

Ya I don't know about every night maybe thats an exaggeration, but it goes down quite a bit im usually on most nights doing homework. I can start keeping track? I don't have the dns problem on my computers anymore though. I did some reading and it had to do with my router, I had to change my IPv4 DNS settings to:

Preferred DNS server: 4.2.2.3
Alternate DNS server: 4.2.2.2

This is for a DLINK router. I dont know if its different for Linksys ect.

I pretty sure that fixed the problem cause I cleared the DNS settings and waited for it not to work and then changed the settings and then R/F would work. And know the only time I can't get on is when the whole site goes down and before when I couldn't get on for like the whole night and other people where still posting/making threads.

those are verizons DNS servers. I dont know that just anyone can use those DNS numbers.
