i was wondering if we could do a snapshots contest like they do over at rps? just a thought....

 

good idea.. but i think we already did something like that, it was for the main page-almost everybody put in and only 5 trucks or so were picked.

 

We do, we haven't done one for a while but go check out the snapshot forum there's a few in there.

Specifically what content were you looking to run a contest on?

 

like on rps they do contest that have to have your truck in it..like their last one was a sunset/sunrise pic...and there current one is a woodland/trees pic...like someone chooses a subject trees,ocean,lake,field, bridge etc etc...but has to have your truck in it...

Well, Go for it. Unless they give prizes away or something it doesn't have to be Admin or MOD started.

Just make a thread for everyone to post their pics in and a cut off date and then another thread with a poll and all the pics in the main post. then just PM a mod to help keep the thread clean and organized. Vualla!

 

i wonder if they will let me head this off....i dont want to do anything without the permission of a mod or admin....sounds like fun to me...i would love to do it here!!! :)

I see absolutely no reason why you would not be allowed to start something like this. Ranger-Forums is a community for enthusiasts and is loved by it's members so much because it is run so freely and at the same time tastefully. Neither Christian nor Skot ( admins) are dictators, just the awesome guys that keep this place alive, as well as the mods keep everything clean and respectful. This is a very positive idea that invovles everyone with a camera and a ranger. As long as no prize is offered you'll be fine.

 

no no prizes this will be just for fun....kinda like on rps...all they get is a photoking badge but their arnt badges here so that wouldnt matter....

 

Whoever wants to organize it can do it, in [The Playground] area of the forum.
