i just had that exact tag on it and it didn't recognize it.

it accepted it on the template page, but did nothing on the forum.

i think if i can build the site i can do the simplest html

Can we have the option of showing them or not showing them? I think they stick out like a sore thumb on an otherwise very aesthetically pleasing board.

the moderator and admin buttons will not be going away. alot of people don't know who is a mod/admin and it will help them to know...

the "contributor" button, i'm still not decided on...

I like it in the dark green with the white lettering (which describes what it is as I type this). Goes nicely with the admin/mod ones.

But whatever you decide is fine with me. I do like the overall thrust of the change, though.
