Respect needs to be earned and maintained... not given out 'cause someone has money or a title...

My boss is like that.... that's why I don't respect him... and that's why he hates me... if you, as a boss, don't respect your workers, you will find yourself being the only one on the payroll of your company...

Two way street there. If you, as an employee, don't respect your boss(es), you will find yourself being without any payroll...

This is true... luckily I have 2 bosses.... but I will respect any person that deserves it... someone who thinks they are better simply 'cause they found their way to a position of authority gets no respect....

haha this makes me laugh.. (the respect issue).. Being in the military, It completely changes your views on everything..Respect is something that is EARNED.. Not given.

In the military we RESPECT those above us in rank. Why? Because they EARNED it.. Maybe not directly from us, but from earning that rank. Might not like the person, but we Will ALWAYS respect the rank.

I try sometimes to wonder what it would be like for me to get out right now and go back to being a civilian.. Makes me laugh..

Rick earned his respect because he wrote a check?? I think not...

And just 'cause you don't like the conversation in the thread doesn't mean it needs to be closed... just stop participating in the convo if you're over it...
