Theres really only a few major contributors keeping this site going anymore, i can log in once every 3 days and be caught up in 20 minutes. The lack of interesting threads are the real killer. Nobody is doing cool stuff anymore (myself included).

I say if you want activity to come up, stop posting the same five threads over again.

That was the first thing to get changed. I know tons of members hated that setting and for some reason Rick refused to change it.

No, Rick did screw it up, he drove alot of people away. Hell I like the changes since he's gone, this thread wouldnt have made it to 5 pages with him around and this post would have gotten me banned. Im looking forward to a rejuvenated R-F, good luck to the new admin staff, hope you can get the strings pulled that you need to get this place back up to speed.

And yes the site got screwed when Christian sold it. A lot of people with lots of information and good projects got banned for stupid things.

 

I agree with you 100%. I think Rick really did a disservice to us. I don't plan to close any threads like this and sweep them under the rug, it's important to listen to the members if you want to have a successful site. Rick had an untouchable attitude that I don't see with IB. Of course we will have limitations but they will give us more freedom to run the site how we see fit.


Just stick around and bear with us. I also want this to work out for RF and hope to do what I can to get the activity level back up.

I know what you mean haha. I've had a bunch of things to do lately where I told myself the same thing lol.

I havnt been on this site as long as a lot of you. I can tell that it has changed a lot even from when I posted my intro thread.
I have learned a lot though, and I plan on putting that to good use to better this site.

Yes you're right, despite my gripes with IB they are great at not messing with the site leadership dynamic and letting the staff run things. They are just really slow at getting things done. I never dealt with Rick on the staff side obviously but since I have dealt with IB on the staff side on another site I could guess IB will be better to deal with by a long shot.

If some of these threads start getting interesting again. I'll contribute and come around more. But thats my biggest complaint. I come here to see what other people do to their trucks and how-to's if i'm intrested. At least now the majority of the people here have a ranger. They may not drive it everyday (most of us) but we still have it. I think that will bring more people in.

 

You dont deal with Rick, your only option is to agree or be removed. Trust me. He was a jerk. I may actually hang around a little more with him gone.

RF has always been my favorite, heck im still sporting the original RF sticker that Leo had made I think.

btw I wish people would have realized how much I actually tried to do for this place. Paying for shirts stickers etc and just forking out the extra cash and time to make sure people got what they wanted. wish i could have bought the site too but Christian thought this was best, cant blame him.

not that i am looking for any props just sad to see it in its state after all that work. hope it comes around.
