I think the point of it is to be obvious and draw your attention, and maybe get you to go to that website and use that particular product, therefore the reason that company pays this website to have that advertisement, so they can make money. It goes away if you're a site contributor, just fyi.

no **** captain obvious.. you'd think I knew that with over 11,000 posts.. my sub apparently ended 3 months ago so rick just axed it.. and I'm not renewing it. And yea, lets advertise Google.. because by some random act of god someone might not know what google is.. And hey look, A Chevy ad on a FORD forum, thats good ****.. Look I got a Chevy but I didn't need a stupid ad to do so.

And I know I got the contrib status after I went wheelin back in February so I could have the bigger avatar.. i had no use for it before that. I'm not sure where the Jan, 20 part came from.

If you had been around longer you would know why I paid in the past but don't feel the need to now. I paid to help the site out, now Rick has ads to pay him, and yet he wants more money for the contrib status.

Your sub expired. Had you not canceled it the sub would have auto renewed.

 

I agree. Having to scroll down is precisely why I wanted them gone. Being on the side you would definitely still see them.

Yea, I liked the look of the triple X one the best, so I chose it, and that was pretty much the only reason, haha.

Its a subscription. Subs auto renew. When the site went through its changes, Christian canceled all the subs. The other option is you canceled.

All subs auto renew and its outlined in Paypal, the payment page and the sign up page so that there is no confusion.

 

I just remember there being an option.. Because the first time I setup my subscription It ended on me, and I had to manually redo it.

 

initially paypal worked that way, now it is different. it has nothing to do with how RF sets it up.

Threads been answered, clearly its not in the best interest of this site to circumvent its only source of income to keep it going.

If you wish to renew, that is awesome and appreciated. If not, don't cheapen and ruin the environment for others.
