if I lived in Cali I would consider weldtec's 6 inch lift
6 inches or lift and 18inches of travel

well you know I had the same thought process. BUT heres my .02 cents on the lift kit dilemna.
RCD is a damn good kit. Very well made. BUT although it converts to coilovers, you get no added travel or benefits other then a bit nicer ride and the obvious torsion bar removal. Superlift will drop the brackets, but from what Ive heard from James (twoplusone) they are real strong as hes dragged em quite a few time. Next youhave more lift from RCD. BUT if you pair the superlift with some new upper arms, you can crank your way to five inches, gain clearance on the Drop bracket/subframe. thats a big plus for me and also you get more travel. now you have to be careful with over extending the CVs but Im sure it can be done.
Im heavily leaning towards the superlift cause of cost reasons and because of the aforementioned reasons.
also you can get a custom made superlift in 5 inches.

I sell Superlift and soon to have RCD. The deal is almost done and out of the two I have seen in action I would say RCD is the way to go but if you're on a budget Superlift is where its at. If you guys ever need a price on a superlift kit, fabtech, or RCD please email me at sonicbluedge@aol.com with:

When I called a few years ago when I got my lift it was 150 an inch... Prob close to the same today. They use lift blocks for the rear, but do a chevy swap and you'll be better off. As for hitting the Sub frame, I have driven over rocks, through mud and over small cars... I have never hit it or drug it on anything.... So I would not trade it for nothing but the DBR kit.. LOL

I was a hard core RCD guy myself.... But now I have the SL and am glad I never wasted the money on it. But that is me.... I payed somewhere around 1500 to 2000 for the lift installed and the front bumper. I am quite content with that... And knock on wood I have yet to get "stuck".... I broke a CV but that was b/c of other issues not the lift and I slid off a gully at Ft Mott once but again not b/c of the lift or the sub frame...
