I want to blow a little steam but also happy they are willing to take care of me.
Back on 2/16/09 I found the Banks Monster exhaust for my F150 for $373.00 on sale! Crazy deal so I bought it. Said it would ship same day. Well the price changes to 470.00 on 2/17/09 still on sale original price is 580 or something. After a week, I find out its on back order! Great! Gonna be March 1st before it ships. I call yesterday, Jegs still does not have it, she calls the manufacturer because I asked her. They have them in stock and will ship today. WTF? Kinda odd.
So I check it this morning, she placed another order and charged me 470.00 + shipping and handling! Ah! I dont want it for this price! So I call them up again, the guy is great understands the issue and fixes it. Should see the adjustment on my card in a few days.
I dont understand it, economy is supposed to be slow, yet so many items are on back order??? This isnt the first time I have had issues ordering products in general in the last few months. idk maybe there is more to it than I know.
Anyway I give Jegs a A+ for customer service and a D for speed! lol

OMG Beard!! Sorry to jack but JEGS was so nice about taking care of my problem but they suck at charging/crediting. They sent me a warranty set of wheels but I had to pay to get a set sent before I sent the others back so I wouldn't have to run the stockers while I was waiting... well I used a different credit card and they charged me a different price so there were a ton or re-charge/credits on both accounts now... it was a mess!!! I just got it finally fixed yesterday...
I agree though... A+ for actually FIXING the problem.... D for there being a huge mess to begin with...

Sucks but that's the way it is. I agree with you though, if I had known I would have waited, or looked for it else wear. I am sure there are many businesses that will match JEGS' price, if not beat it the way the economy is.
I am glad they tried to work things out, alot of companies will just charge you anyways.

I was in the same boat with 4wheelparts, parts were on back order and all the different people I talked to lied to me, yeas actually lied, I called twice within a few minutes to check their stories and they were different. I give them an F- for customer service and a F- for speed.

Its not there on back order from so many peolpe buying. There on back order because so many companies have cut production because people are NOT spending like they were. I saw a thing on the news yesterday that used tire sales are up because people are not spending money on new tires. HOLD ON because things are gonna get a lot worse before they get better!! And that's not a opinionated statement!! LOL Glad you got everything worked out though!!

I'm the exact opposite because I don't mind waiting to get something (unless it's an emergency). When I purchase multiple items from Jegs or any other retailer, I like items being backordered if I'm not in a hurry. It breaks down the order into smaller charges and I get something on multiple days.

Well the problem is well everything cost money to make and with the so called "credit crunch" its hard to find $$$ to order and keep items in stock. So all the businesses that where just barley making it by before, now they fall on hard times and well if they don't have good credit or already have credit, they are out of luck....

I just don't understand if everything was on backordered my would still be stock? So is the exhaust the only thing you have done to the F-150?
