Man i wanted to get one until i saw this thread....

Call Solid and tell them what year you have and they will tell you if it fits. They also did sell direct a lower price than retail.

This is why the thread was made. I'm guessing from this thread older axles wont fit but newer ones will.

from what i can gather it will fit around 2004+ 28 splines and all 31 spline axles. Not 100% on that though. But if anybody want to buy a solid cover for cheap i got one out in the garage lol.

That's what i don't get, you're a 2007. Why doesn't it fit? Makes me think its quality control or a "every truck is different" sort of thing.

Be aware that the Level II axel are a 4.10 Thorsen built unit and is more like an F-150 than many other Rangers even if it's 8.8.

i have i think a 2000 axle. I swapped out for 4:10s

From my understanding, from solid and from where I bought my cover the solid cover only fits the 31 spline axle. The mounting flange for the cover is pushed out 1/4 in or so on the 31 spline that allows for clearance. The 28 spline is just small enough to cause interference on ring gear depending on size.

The website I bought from had in big red letters fits 31 spline axle only.

Solid still has not updated there website to include that information, WTF
