Icon7 Discount Tire is pretty kick butt

This is the second time I've spent $800+ at Discount Tire Direct and I'm still pleased. The first order was a set of wheels/tires for my old Honda, but this time I ordered 15x8 Unique 297's on 31" BFG A/Ts.

Total price for everything, mounted, balanced and shipped. after rebates was..

$800

Pretty good considering the four tires I got were $160 a piece and the rims were around $85 a piece.

Also it was shipped to my house in two days.

I'm quite happy :)

Yeah they really seem to actually care about their reputation. Compared to other places I've shopped. Their customer service is phenomenal.

I know they are fairly cheap rims due to being all steel but it's the type I wanted and they didn't offer any other black wheels similar. So I'm happy nontheless.

All my local shops quoted me $160+ per tire without mounting or balancing.

Haha yeah I miss my Honda sometimes. Mostly miss the gas mileage lol. I had a '95 Accord Coupe EX with aftermarket tail lights, head lights, exhaust, and tires, and wheels. Nothing special but it was fairly nice. Plus I made enough on it to buy my truck.

Overall I'm def. glad I got rid of it.

there are plenty of manufacutrers that make black steelies for 5x4.5 bolt pattern since it is a common pattern. wagon wheels are about $45 each as Stone said. everyone has to make money, shop around next time

I found them, (Mostly cragars), but the shops didn't have the tires I wanted. Also I wanted them balanced and shipped to me so all I had to do was put them on. I've used discount tire before and even if they don't always have the lowest prices their service more than makes up for it.

Oh well I'm going to get criticized for it anyways. I shopped and compared prices and it was my cost efficient route. Oh well I'm happy with it.

I think you got a great deal. $800 for new tires and wheels, installed with a life time warranty and service is great imo.

Discount is a great company.

x2. My old man and me have used Discount Tire for years, and have mostly great reviews...except one occasion. But that is too much information to type.

I bought my 33x12.50R15's at Discount 9 months ago for $700 out the door, when at least 5 other places quoted me at 900. Roughly $150 a piece for 33's. Some extra flow for warranty, disposal fee, tax, exc.

I bought 31x10.50 BFG ATs from Sams Club before these 33's, and got them for about $600 if I remember correctly.

Sometimes going to a place you trust, and will give you excellent customer service, is worth not saving $100. You now know that if something goes wrong, you can go to them directly, instead of talking to someone via email.

I guess I'm the only person who doesn't like discount tire haha

Everytime I try them they want way more then I can get online, talking 300-400 dollars more.

They also wanted like 300 dollars to mount and balance my swampers.

not my friends
