Dunlop M3 Winter Sport (from tirerack.com)

I purchased these dedicated winter tires from the tire rack
for my 07 focus.
All I can say is wow.. there is a reason they are the number one rated
winter tire on tirerack.com right now. These tires are incredable.

The performance is much better than the stock GY rs-a in all aspects..

better handling, better performance.. less hydroplane. etc.

my stock size was 195/60R15
I purchased 195/65R15 for 333$ shipped to my door and there was a
50$ mail in rebate on top of that.

Yes, but they're very soft you know -- if you run them all year long they won't last. I have the Cooper winter tires on my wifes Honda and she LOVES them. They may not be as good as the ones you got, but any reputable winter tire makes a HUGE difference.

Her car is the same way -- the tires are VERY "sticky" and hold the road like nobody's business -- but they do wear quicker than standard rubber.

They are sorta like the blizzack lm-xx not the super soft ws-50 series.

I purchased a set of stock 15" rims from someone on a focus forum for 100$
Had them mounted on those.

They look really nice! The Coopers don't have as "scuplted" a tread as those -- but like most in that class there's beaucoup siping everywhere, lol.

The Focus is your daily driver, yes? That's nice. I hope you still have your truck though?

Soft, that's the whole point behind winter tires. Everyone knows they wear faster, that's why they are winter tires and they switch them up in the off season. LOL

Ha ha! True that -- but not everyone knows it, unfortunately.

No John, I am getting a layoff.. and was driving 650mi/week so I had to trade the ranger in. I will be rangerless for aprox 24-36 more monthes.
then I will have to decide on a toy truck with focus as DD or another
ranger DD.

most likely I'll end up getting a ranger to beat on.. so I dont have to worry
about those pesky branches and waterholes owning it.

Well, I'm sorry about that, Rand -- I guess I haven't been keeping up with the news. I really liked your truck, so I'm sorry to see it go.

Hope you get back into something offroady some day so you can come play in Wharton with us!
