Icon14 V-LED's Back up lights

So I recently received some V-LED backup lights. Free from KLC (thanks again)

Here's a link V-LEDS HID WHITE 6K 92 M-SMT DRL/BACK-UP/PARKING LIGHT BULBS 3157 3156 4057

So I can tell you, these things are awesome. They're like having headlights on the back of my truck. Huge difference over stock

Here's a crappy cell pic

I know Jp7 is going to see this and tell everyone his way is better. I would agree. But this is easier. What he does has a high learning curve. These lights are plug and play and it makes a huge difference.

I really wanted more light without having to add auxiliary lights. This did the trick perfectly. All my friends who have seen these are blown away

I tried those before and thought they were dimmer than stock. I went with a different set of plugins with 63 LEDs when I did my 04. Right now my 03 has stock incandescents and I feel they are brighter than the plugin LEDs in my 04.

In order to get brighter-than-stock results with Reverse LEDs you need to open the tail lights which is REALLY, REALLY hard.

They are definitely brighter than the stock incandescent bulb.

You can't compare without seeing them in person.

they look brighter, but their light output is usually less.

mine are extremely bright, but didn't improve the light output. maybe its because of the color temperature of the LED's compared to the stock incandescent color temp.

either way, looks great man.

It's the focus and optics.

Example: HID's in your stock reflector Vs. HID in a morimoto projector:

Night and Day difference. OEM reflectors are designed for OEM bulbs.

That's why I just laughed to myself when I was just told that "Something is wrong with me"

I tried those before and liked the 63 LED version I have slightly more (this is on my 04)

They look brighter when you look right into the tail light but backing up it isn't as easy to see because the light isn't put where it needs to be.

Look cool yes, more functional no.

I liked them because of the brighter, whiter light and extended range. They also caught the attention of other drivers quicker when backing up, which is a big plus. This is of course just my personal opinion. Either incandescent or LED will serve the same purpose. You just look better doing it with LED.

I guess you just have to try them.

I've noticed a big difference when I'm backing up. With tinted windows it helps.

I can only speak from my own experience, I can see better with them.

Like KLC said, one huge advantage is that people definitely notice that you are backing up.
