Hey man, you need to go edit your settings and change it so you can recieve private messages! I couldn't reply back lol. So here you go.

Mike,
First off, welcome to Ranger-Forums. It's great to have another B-Series member on here! We need more! The brush bar, it originally came off my older brother's 2001 Ranger XLT as a birthday present when he got rid of his truck. It is made by Westin....which is the top of the line brushguard/bull-bar/safari-bar maker out there.

Yes, I know it says for a Ranger, but it will fit the Mazda, guarenteed.

There is the link to the one you would want, the prices are above the "Add to Cart" link. Black (the one I have) is about $100 cheaper, and IMO it looks better. Chrome bull-bars are too gaudy atleast in my tastes. All depends on the style you're going for. I myself, bought some cheap Wal-Mart lights til I can save up for some Hella's. They work just fine.

Major problems, yes, my frame cracked (Pennsylvania winters are horrible b/c of roadsalt, etc) and my head gasket blew, pretty much got the whole engine rebuilt. The thing is though, in you're truck I'm going to guess you have a 4.0 as well, but mine is an OHV (Overhead Valve) and your 4.0 is a SOHC (Single Overhead Cam)....so we have two totally different engines. I as well just got my drum brakes re-done, wish I would've just thrown some discs on there but oh well.

Try PM'ing Shane Blakeley (FX4Wannabe01) about the engine. He is the most knowledgable and friendliest guy on here, he has a 4.0 SOHC I believe. If you have any questions as to your truck, and as to what mods we can do (as Mazda's are limited), feel free to ask. My screenname is sspil365 you can IM me anytime. Again, welcome to the Ranger-Forums brotherhood, it's a good thing you're a Mazda guy though!

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry it took me so long to find this thread lol.

I'm no stranger to Mazdas,I have owned an 89 B2200 std cab, 88 B2200 ext cab and 90 B2600i ext cab. Always been a Ford guy (2 previous 95 Contours and 98 Mystique) and always liked the Rangers/B's.

I'm just shy of hitting 400k KM on my truck and it's running strong as ever with a new clutch and u-joints. I plan to keep it til it dies and just want to spent a few bucks to build it mildly to my tastes as it is more of a work truck/daily driver than a toy that gets pretty and shiny stuff bought for it.

I got off to a little bit of a rocky start with one of the moderators, but so far this is a fantastic site. Lots of knowledge and humour on here.
