Icon5 G2 8.8 Cover

Anybody use a G2 8.8 cover on there truck? I just want to make sure it fits when I do my L/S swap. I hear the solid cover doesnt fit cause it hits the ring gear.

I had the solid cover on my 28 spline 8.8....I just dremilled out the inside of it slightly.

Oh and FWIW, G2 now makes a diff cover for the ford 8.8 that has a dipstick on it.

They might LOOK the same, but the aluminum is weak. They'll crack the second you slam that POS on a rock. As for the SOLID Axle Industries one, they're 3/8" STEEL.

I would just as soon have a RuffStuff diff cover tho. ABSOLUTELY unbreakable.
